The central regional born artiste, Teephlow has been congratulated by the Paramount Chief of Cape Coast traditional area, Osaabarima Kwesi Atta IV for being the first musician to be awarded the Record of The Year Award and the first artiste from Cape Coast to be nominated twice in the VGMA.
The Chief speaking at the gathering where Teephlow paid them a courtesy visit said, he really appreciates what Teephlow has done by remembering his ‘roots’ and therefore, urged all upcoming musicians to do the same.
The chief said; “Because of the respect you’ve brought to the Oguaman State through your music, we are very elated”.
“I urge all up and coming artistes to be serious about their trade because it is great wealth in modern times. We know of musicians abroad who are making a lot of money that even caters for them in their old age. Music is good business now so I am proud to see you rise through the ranks to get better, but I will urge you to stay away from negative comments and recalcitrant behaviour,” Osaabarima Kwesi Atta IV advised.
