Popular Kumawood actor, Kofi Adu widely known as Agya Koo has said that Ghanaians are no more interested in buying and watching Kumawood movies because he has been sidelined.
The actor expressing his dissatisfaction in an interview on Onua Fm’s ‘Anigye Mmre’ talk show with Christian Agyei Frimpong revealed that Kumawood revived because of him and he is also the very reason why the movie industry is dying.
Agya Koo explained; “After I was sidelined, they forgot I had a huge following, and I took away my huge followers. They brought in new people to replace me, but they forgot Agya Koo’s followers are bigger than the actors that they replaced me with”.

He continued that the movie industry will rise again if only the producers of Kumawood movies will realise his existence and call him back into the industry.
“If they want to revive the movie industry, they should go back to the drawing board because my exclusion has caused the decline of Kumawood movies”, Agya Koo concluded.
