My Kind Of Comedy Has Faded — Fritz Baffour

Obviously, comedy in Ghana is ‘dead’ judging from some comments made by comedy lovers in recent times. Is it that the current crop of comedians in Ghana are boring or lazy in making people laugh?
Well, Fritz Baffour, a former Information Minister has stated without mincing words that his kind of comedy has faded out completely and that he is not interested in the kind of comedy Ghanaian comedians put out there.

The former Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South Constituency in an interview with Kojo Preko Dankwa on Kasapa FM said:
“My kind of comedy has faded and I can’t do the new kind of comedy. Maybe I can act in a sitcom but to do a stand-up comedy, I can’t do it.”

Even though the likes of comedian DKB, Foster Romanus, David Aglah, OB, Khemikal, Jacinta, Lekyzy De Comic are trying to put Ghana on the map through comedy but Fritz Baffour is of the view that a lot needs to be done to arouse the interest on Ghanaians in comedy.

Fritz Baffour who took up comedy after returning from the United Kingdom rubbished rumours that he did that as a result of his joblessness.
