An Egyptian lawyer has taken Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos to FIFA, suing him for a whopping €1bn.
According to Sada El-Balad, Ramos, who injured Salah’s shoulder in the UEFA Champions League final, has caused physical and psychological harm to an entire nation with his actions.
The Champions League final Saturday night changed irrevocably after Ramos and Salah tangled, fell down and then Salah injured his shoulder in the fall. He had to be taken off in tears and Madrid subsequently won the game 3-1.
His injury has put him at risk of missing the World Cup finals and considering he’s Egypt’s best player, Sada says they have to be compensated for what Ramos has done.
“Ramos intentionally injured Mo Salah and should be punished about his actions. I’ve filed a lawsuit and a complaint to FIFA.” he said on Egyptian TV.
“I’ll ask for compensation, which could exceed €1 billion, for the physical and psychological harm that Ramos gave Salah and the Egyptian people.”
