Over the years Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon Kennedy Agyapong, has built a reputation as an abrasive but very honest person who says it as it is and damns the consequences.
Agyapong has many times pointed out corrupt practices in his own party and thus it’d seem that someone like that would be a natural ally to Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his crusade to expose corruption.
However, since Anas latest expose started making waves Agyapong has rather been on the investigator’s neck and giving him no breathing space.
In one rant he said Anas’ methods were wrong and that he must be stopped before he enters people’s bedrooms in the name of investigative journalism. He also said he should be stopped from airing his GFA documentary.
In another, more foul mouthed rant against Anas, Agyapong just tears into him personally, calling him many names including a ‘foolish a$$hole’.
“He is an a$$hole, I am even getting angry! He is a foolish boy.” he said on Asempa Fm’s explosive talk show ‘Ekosii Sen’.
“I will expose him, let him go ahead and show the video, I will also expose his houses at Dzorwulu and his lands at Trade fair that he is litigating over. Where did he get money to buy them?” he queried.
“I will expose Anas because he is not clean. I will put my life on the line against Anas.
“He destroys people’s integrity to enrich himself. Let him show the video and I will expose who the real eye of the tiger is.” he added.
The level of vitriol coming from the MP towards Anas is unprecedented and we can’t help but think there is some reason behind it.
