The fight against or for homos*xuality to be legalized in Ghana is still on, even though the chances of its legalization is slim but as the president of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo said in his interview on Al Jazeera, “it is bound to happen”.
Now, Ghanaian rapper, Ex Doe says he was offered a whopping amount of Ghc50,000 just to compose a song for Gays in Ghana.
Ex Doe sharing his views on homos*xuality in an interview with Joy FM’s Lexis Bill disclosed:
“I was contacted with an amount of 50,000 Ghana Cedis to do a gay rights campaign song for the gay community. I am not gay but I don’t have anything against gay people.
There are prostitutes out there whom some people don’t like but they are there. Let’s leave people to live their lives how they please. God will judge us all at the end.”
Ex Doe who did not want to step on anyone’s toes with his views on homos*xuality added that:
“If you asked this question about 5 to ten years ago, the answer would have been ‘No’ but now, unfortunately, as much as we don’t want, the world is evolving, things are changing and everybody is thinking wide and outside the box. As an artiste, I have a lot of things to do and I wouldn’t like to step on toes.”
