The President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte has angered many people of his super religious nation with some comments about God.
Duterte dubbed God ‘stupid’ and a ‘son of a b*tch’ and said the story of Adam and Eve makes zero sense.
As the Bible tells it, Adam and Eve were put in the garden of Eden and were asked by God to not eat one particular fruit, but Satan, disguised as a snake, convinced Eve to eat and she, in turn, convinced Adam.
According to Duterte, it’s pretty stupid for a God to create something perfect and then put in there a devil who can spoil the entire perfection of his creation.

“Adam ate (the fruit of knowledge), then malice was born. Who is this stupid God?” Duterte said. “That son of a b*tch is stupid if that’s the case.”
“You created something perfect and then you think of an event that would tempt and destroy the quality of your work.”
Duterte added that another stupid doctrine is original sin, saying that because Adam sinned many years ago that someone born millenia later has also sinned.
“That was your mother and father’s deed [sin], you weren’t born yet, but now you have original sin. What kind of religion is that? I can’t accept it.” Duterte said.
The controversial President, who is no stranger to causing controversy, added that he isn’t an atheist but a believer in a ‘universal mind’.
His comments have sparked outrage in the country, which is over 80% catholic.
