Citizens have been dying like chickens due to lack of adequate ambulances for years now yet the moment it happened to a politician, we are hearing of the procurement of new ambulances for the nation.
As George Orwell once famously wrote: ‘All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others’.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ministry of Health, Robert Cudjoe, has revealed that the Ministry has procured 275 ambulances to soon be released to public health bodies all across the country.
“This government through the ministry of special initiatives initiated a move to bring in  275 new ambulances to cushion the health service of Ghana.” he told Kumasi based Oyerepa Fm Tuesday.

The entire country, as has been pointed out numerous times by outraged citizens, has 54 ambulances servicing a population close to 30m.
Many Ghanaians have died due to this pathetic state of affairs and successive governments, including this one, have failed to do anything about the issue.
Following the death of Amissah-Arthur due to this issue and the Okyehene’s vivid recollection of what happened, we are being told that a batch of ambulances have been procured.
When asked if the move is due to the recent death of the former VEEP, Cudjoe denied it and said the move has been in the works for some time now.
