The 2018 National Science and Maths Quiz had different contenders than last year save one, Adisadel College — yet it played out nearly identically with Adisco standing out for the wrong reasons once again.
Last year they were  mere spectators as Prempeh and Aquinas fought to the death with Prempeh edging it by two points, and this year they were left behind again as St Peter’s beat West Africa by a solitary point.
The 2018 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz thus came to an end at the National Theatre with St Peter’s winning with 45pts, followed by West Africa Senior High School with 44pts and Adisco bringing up the rear with 39pts.

Adisadel made the finals after an impressive win over Mfantsipim, whilst WASS also brushed aside defending champions Prempeh College and despite being seen as front runners, it was Persco who came from behind to pick up the trophy.
They trailed throughout the earlier rounds but made up the difference in the final round, answering two out of the four riddles to pip WASS to the trophy at the end of the contest.
