The first ever edition of the Ghana Football Awards have been held despite the overarching turmoil encircling the whole of Ghana football.
There is no football association, all leagues have been suspended and Ghana risks sanctions from Fifa at this moment.
Despite that, the Marriott Hotel in Accra hosted the maiden edition of the Ghana Football Awards Sunday night.
Numerous top stars in Ghana football including several legendary figures from years past graced the awards.
Black Stars midfielder Thomas Teye Partey was adjudged overall best player whilst skipper Asamoah Gyan won an award for his philanthropic works.
