Dignity In Comedy – Chinedu Ikedieze Aka "Aki" Recognized By Miami As A "Distinguished Visitor"

Chinedu Ikedieze popularly known as Aki might be pint-sized but the fact that he is vertically challenged has never stopped the celebrated Nigerian actor from attaining great heights. After stealing the hearts of Nigerians and Africans in general with his role as “Aki” in the movie”Aki na Ukwa” starring alongside equally prolific Osita Iheme best known as “Pawpaw” and veteran Nigerian actor Amaechi Muonagor, Mr. Ikedieze has soldiered on to become a household name the world over.
Midgets were not so popular in the movie scene till these two came up and now we have the Yaw Dabos and Wayoosis trying their best to fit in those shoes. The forty-year-old actor is no doubt a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian comic movie scene and has won some enviable awards to his credit. And because hard work definitely pays, Aki is still getting rewarded and recognized for his works.
In a recent Instagram post, he revealed that he had been recognized as a “distinguished visitor” by the Miami-Dade County in Florida, United States of America. Feeling sobered, Aki took to his Instagram handle to express his profound appreciation and encouraged his fans to believe in themselves and have faith in their abilities, because “without a humble but reasonable confidence in yourself and your own powers you cannot be successful or happy”. The certificate was given to him by the mayor and county commissioners, and he posted a picture of him brandishing it with the caption, “WHEN THE WORLD BELIEVED IN YOU”.
He wrote, “WHEN THE WORLD BELIEVED IN YOU… Believe in yourself also! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy “- Norman Vincent Peale
