King of Akuapem rap music, “the prodigal son” of Shatta movement, Pope Skinny has started showing his other side after leaving Shatta’s camp, he now claims he made Shatta Wale popular.
If Pope Skinny can boldly come out to brag to Ghanaians that he raps better than all the currently rappers in Ghana, then it is not surprising to hear him brag that he made Shatta Wale popular.
Pope Skinny in an interview with Sokoohemaa Kukuaa on Rainbow Radio disclosed that his former boss, Shatta Wale first caught the sight of VGMA after he (pope Skinny) invited Shatta Wale on his Kasahari Levelz show years back.
“Shatta Wale was taken really serious after I hosted him on my show years ago. The interview shot Shatta Wale to greater heights. He gained recognition at the VGMAs for the first time after several failed attempts after that interview,” he bragged.
