Game of Thrones fans have had to deal with the fact that there is no season of the show being released the entirety of this year, after the 8th and final season was pushed to 2019.
All we knew was that the show returns next year with no date given by HBO.
Earlier seasons of Game of Thrones were released in March or April, but season 7 was pushed all the way back to July.
So the question for fans waiting for the new season is whether the show moves back to its early year slot or remains in July.
Speaking at a press event, HBO president Casey Bloys has confirmed that Thrones returns in early 2019 – possibly March or April as happened in earlier seasons.
So the wait is not yet over — but it just got a few months shorter!!
