Reigning Miss Ghana Queen-Margaret Dery Says the Miss Ghana Pageant is Her Worse Experience and the Pageant is A SCAM So Young Women Do Not Need It

While Inna Patty and her Exclusive Events Ghana, owners of the Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant franchise who were swimming in scandalous accusations a few months ago are trying to use lawsuits to intimidate and shut former Queens up, another Miss Ghana Queen, Margaret Dery (the 2017 winner) has taken to Twitter to state that the Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant is a SCAM—and that it’s her worse experience.
A few months ago, during the Miss Ghana scandal, it was reported that even the reigning Queen-Margaret Dery was also being ‘manipulated’ by the Exclusive Events Ghana’s CEO-Inna Patty and that Inna Patty was putting her through all ‘manner of nonsense’ which she was by far enduring because of the fear of what Inna Patty would do to her if she spoke up against a gagging clause in her contract that prohibits her from speaking to the media.
But yesterday, Margaret Dery who seems to have had enough took to Twitter to sort of warn young women to stay far away from the Miss Ghana Pageant because it’s a sham and like the other Queens, it has been her worse experience.

Magaret Dery’s tweet

Magaret wrote in a tweet: “Being a miss Ghana queen has honestly been one of the worse experiences of my life, yeah,I know it looks good on the outside, but it’s just one big sham on the inside. All that glitters is not gold. Ladies, you don’t need a crown on your head to succeed.”
She added: “Any and all projects were funded by people I approached who decided to help out of the goodness of their hearts, no sponsorships ,no nothing..even the car is not in your name and you’re given only one key, just Incase they wanna take it back.”
Margret Dery’s tweets which call Miss Ghana a scam and her worse experience clearly connect to the various horrible experiences that about 4 former Miss Ghana winners, Miss Ghana 2010-Stephanie Karikari, Miss Ghana 2015-Antoinette Delali Kemavor, Miss Ghana 2013-Giuseppina Nana Akua Baafi and 2013 Miss Ghana first runner-up- Margaret Kuma-Mintah shared a few months ago, bothering on different layers of exploitation, verbal and sometimes physical abuse, charity funds embezzlement and being used for s*xual baits by Inna Patty.

Per the Miss Ghana contracts GhanaCelebrities.Com has seen and published in the past which these young women are said to be made to sign without legal representation, the exploitations are somewhat made possible by the wording of contracts—and the clause which prohibits the Queens from speaking to the media helps shield the actions of the organisers from public scrutiny.

With all the horrifying stories and experiences so far heard from not just one, or two or three Miss Ghana Queens including the current Queen which have not been investigated or dealt with by any competent body, anyone who would sign up for the pageant must brace herself for the worse.
Miss Ghana, to me, has become a big JOKE and an avenue for some people to profit themselves—because of lack of any external accountability and supervision.
