Former Ghanaian footballer, John Paintsil has revealed his biggest regret in life — he regrets being friends with some colleague footballers.
John Paintsil’s simple advice to young and upcoming footballers, “beware of who you call your friend and who you allow into your home”.
The Ghanaian right back in an interview with Serwaa Amihere on GhOne TV’s “Cheers” show said;
“My advice to the young players is that they should be very careful who they call a friend and who they allow into their homes. The mistake I made was that I was very open and regarded most people as brothers but someone I call a friend sent a picture to my ex-wife while we were out and that started a whole lot of issues.”
He added that he saw his real friends during his alleged assault case with his wife, Richlove somewhere in 2013 which landed him in Police custody.
John Paintsil, 37, played for West Ham United, Fulham and Leicester City before hanging his boots.
