There is no doubt Davido is amongst the many trying to promote Afrobeat on the world market— what we did not know was why the man is keen in this particular genre.
According to the Assurance hitmaker, he has no interest or whatsoever in putting himself out there for the world. He only does what he does solely because of the culture nit for any other gains.

He says he feels a sense of responsibility to do it for the general promotion of the culture hence the need for him to make international moves.
“To be honest, me, I’m not into this international stuff but I’m really doing it because I’m one of those people pioneering this movement,” the ‘Fia’ singer said in an interview with Pause.
“I have to put a cape on my back and do it for the culture but I always prefer being at home.”
“If they’re trying to reach somewhere it’s the best place to be,” he said.
“But it just depends, to be honest. Mr Eazi was in London, then he came back.”
