The founder and leader of the Ebenezer Miracle Worship Centre, Rev Ebenezer Opambour Adarkwa Yiadom has advocated for the names of some villages in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region relating to male and female genitals to be changed.
Those names came to the public domain when John Frimpong Osei, Member of Parliament for Abirem in the Eastern Region listed the names of villages waiting to be connected to the national electricity grid.
Etwe nim Nyansa – “Vag!na is Wise”, * Kote ye Aboa – “Pen!s is a Fool”, * Shua ye Morbor – “Test!cles are Miserable”, are the names of these villages.
Well, the man of God who is not comfortable with these weird names giving to these villages says elders of these villages should change the names immediately because it sounds embarrassing.
Rev Opambour explained that those people who perhaps gave these villages such weird names are dead and gone and for that matter, those living now should work on changing the names.
He questioned if the elders of these villages are not embarrassed when they hear people mention the names of their villages.
Parliament broke into laughter when these names were mentioned in the House in July 2018. People never knew of these villages until the Member of Parliament for that district listed them in Parliament.
