If you still don’t understand the meaning of the word hypocrisy after staying in this country Manasseh Azure Awuni has been demonstrating it quite well the past few days and Ghanaians are picking up on it.
Manasseh, the most vocal anti corruption campaigner in Ghana not named Martin Amidu or A Plus and who investigates and writes copious articles about corruption when it involves other people — has suddenly lost his tongue after the exposure of the rot at Capital Bank, spearheaded by Board Chairman Pastor Mensa Otabil.
The Board of the company, after collapsing the bank, then squandered a Ghc 610m bailout from the Bank of Ghana, using the money for personal reasons and to clandestinely set up a new bank.
Ghanaians have been giving their opinions on the matter left, right and centre but Manasseh has for some reason gone radio silent.
Manasseh, who probably would have written a multi page ‘Manasseh’s Folder’ by now if it involved any other public figure, somehow can’t summon his outrage to condemn Mensa Otabil and Ghanaians have noticed his glaring hypocrisy.
Thus a legion of ‘Nana Kwame’s’ have come out and are dragging Mansseh for his stinking double standards.
