Arguably Ghana’s most controversial Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong, who is MP for Assin Central and the owner of other great businesses has backed the decision by the immediate past Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba to resign from active politics.
Ghanacelebrities.com this morning reported that the former minister has ‘rejected’ the reshuffling of the president to be Ghana’s ambassador to Italy and gladly opted out of active politics.
Reacting to her decision in an interview on Joy News Tuesday, the Assin Central MP said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will miss her but it is her prerogative to decide when to call it quits in her chosen profession.
“It her prerogative. She has every right to decide when to be in politics and when to get out” he stated.
