The breed of preachers we have these days are self obsessed men who think everything in the world revolves around them and continue to believe that because their gullible congregations treat them exactly like that.
For instance, Mensa Otabil knows how brainwashed his congregation is thus when he got into trouble he just stood in front of them and told them to answer all critiques with ‘God is Good’ and that’s it — everyone cheered him on as if he had just discovered calculus.
Otabil has his target audience and these two preachers, Obinim and Obofour, also have their target audience.
The two — Bishop Daniel Obinim and Rev Asanteman Obofour — are very similar in many ways, in the way they run their churches, the ridiculous kind of ‘miracles’ they do and the way they flaunt their wealth.
This similarities has led singer Mzbel to describe the two as originating from the same source but having their petty differences — essentially being brothers from another mother, as we say.
Speaking in an interview with ZionFelix to compare the two ‘men of God’, Mzbel said: “They have petty similarities but it looks like they are from the same source.
“I feel like they’re from the same source just that Obofour is very educated, he speaks very good English when I went to see him. We spoke English throughout and he’s very funky and ‘guy’ but apart from that this man is Obofour and he’s Angel.”
Speaking on Obinim, she said: “…I have watched him on TV several times and if he should ask me to come to his church. I will gladly do so but when I visit him and he preaches to me then I can decide whether to accept it or not.”
