The Ghanaian music industry is imploding into allegations and counter allegations as everyone tries to make the ‘yawa’ that ‘pai’ in Nigeria into someone else’s fault.
Shatta Wale, who was in Nigeria and got embarrassed alongside other artists, has already gone on the attack and started accusing fellow artists and Ghanaians of being the reason.
Shatta’s strongest fire was reserved for Sarkodie, who he dubbed a hypocrite because he claims Sark believes in Nigerian artists more than the Ghnaian ones.
But Sarkodie has thrown cold water on such attacks in his Hitz Fm interview.
Sarkodie refuted claims that he charges Ghanaian artists for features and said if someone is his friend he does not charge the person.
He mentioned Shatta in particular and said he’s never charged him for a feature.
“…I have never charged any of my friends for a feature. Never! I’m talking about the people that you know as my friends. I mean Shatta Wale, R2Bees, Stonebwoy and the rest. I don’t think any of them will do that to their friends as well….,”
He added that he only features Nigerian artists as a strategy to try and break into their market and it has nothing to do with him believing in them more than Ghanaians.
