Politicians have their various ways of convincing or tricking people to give them their votes and Mr Omoyele Sowore is no exception.
A Nigerian Presidential candidate and publisher, Omoyele Sowore has promised to legalize marijuana and make Nigeria one of the top exporting countries in the world.
Mr Omoyele was captured in a video when he was speaking in a meeting organized by a non-governmental organization in Nigeria.
According to him, a lot of developed countries are making billions from marijuana but in Nigeria, where high-grade marijuana can be found, dealers and cultivators are being hunted daily by the law enforcement agencies, so when he is voted in power, he will legalize it.
“We have to start taking care of our weed, such that we can also contribute to the GDP of the world, Some of the best weeds in the world are grown in Ekiti state. I am very serious.
“People are making billions out of that particular plant that is very potent in Nigeria. We should be focusing on it.
“Our NDELEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency) should get the notice, memo in advance that Nigeria will be exporting weed to cure cancer in other parts of the world.”
He added that there is no need to be hunting weed cultivators when there are politicians hiding in their various homes smoking it.
