The Accra Circuit Court hearing the case of assault against Daniel Obinim, the founder and leader of the International Godsway Church (IGWC) has found him guilty of assault.
The case stemmed from the now infamous video which showed Obinim assaulting two teenagers with a belt in his church, angry that the guy had impregnated the lady.
After he was arrested and charged Obinim claimed he was directed by the holy spirit to carry out his actions and that he is not answerable to a ‘mere’ human court.
He also said the children were his wards and he could do whatever he wanted with them.
