You don’t need a genius to tell you that the NPP’s influential member, Mr Gabby Okyere-Darko has really bitten more than he can chew when he disclosed his disappointment in Ghanaian movie industry earlier on Peace FM.

Following his speech, several prominent Ghanaians and concerned movie lovers such as the actors and actresses themselves have emerged from their various hideouts lambasting him.

It’s obvious that the Ghanaian movie industry is dying due to some of the reasons being that most TV stations in Ghana have been getting cheaper contents from outside countries like India and other South American countries and have completely neglected Ghanaian movies.

Reacting to Gabby Okyere-Darko’s assertion against the movie industry, award-winning actress, Lydia Forson took to her Twitter page and shared her words.

Here is what she said, “Our industry is not perfect, far from, in fact, it needs a lot of help and structure, and we need to have important and brutal conversations about it.

“But if the people who promised to help aren’t doing their jobs, they shouldn’t have a right to speak on it either”.
