Captain for Ghana Senior Football team (Black Stars), Asamoah Gyan aka Baby Jet has disclosed his interest to play for one of the Giants’ football clubs in Ghana, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Baby Jet who now plays his professional football as a striker for the Turkish side, Kayeserispor revealed this during an interview with MyNewsGh.
According to him, he has been a fan of the Porcupine Warriors since he was a child and the passion to be with them has since been there.
“I am a big fan of Kotoko, I have been supporting this team since day one. It is a great honour to be part of, let me say this before I will draw the curtains down on my career I will wear the red jersey,” he revealed.
However, the current coach for Kumasi Asante Kotoko also a former winger for the senior national team, CK Akonnor added that it will be a great honour to see Kayeserispor striker playing for his team.
“Asamoah Gyan comes with a lot of packages and what he has achieved in his career will cushion the young ones to also do more for the club. I will welcome Asamoah Gyan if he quits international football to join Asante Kotoko, even now,”
