Asamoah Gyan has been planning for his retirement for a long time now, owning many businesses to cushion that transition to the time he would no longer be able to make millions kicking a ball.
We can’t count the number of former players who were able to attain fame and fortune during their heydays but then later on had to suffer just to live with dignity.
It’s not even a phenomenon that affects only footballers but every other form of celebrity, including many actors and musicians whom we’ve seen turn to begging years after their prime and pissing their money away.
Gyan has metamorphosed into a businessman, even if a slutty one, to ensure money would keep flowing into his pocket even after retirement, and one of the businesses he owns is the mineral water company Paradise Pac.

In the past few days the group has landed a partnership deal with former African Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The deal is a two year sponsorship deal worth Ghc 120,000 per annum for the Porcupine Warriors.
Gyan was present at the launch and unsurprisingly announced a desire to end his career with Kotoko.
