Ghanaian rapper and radio presenter who also doubles as the leader or headline act for the ‘Asuoden Movement’, Pope Skinny was one time the darling boy of the ‘Shatta Movement’ boss Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr aka Shatta Wale.
The ‘Asuoden god’ and Shatta Wale were almost like Siamese twins ─simply put, they were inseparable. These two guys were seen almost everywhere together. They featured themselves on chart-topping tracks that got almost everybody in this country on their dancing feet.
Their relationship fell on the rocks a few days to the launch of Shatta Wale’s much anticipated ‘Reign Album’. Prior to the release of the album, Sarkodie served Wale with his greatest diss song ever.
Pope Skinny after listening to Sark’s song tweeted that the song was fire. He received tons of insults and criticisms from the Shatta Movement family, most of them claim he was a sellout ‘neggar’ who cannot be trusted around their movement anymore.
After that incident, the relationship between the one’s bosom friend has not been the same. Shatta Wale wants him to come and apologize before he accepts him back.
Now Pope Skinny has been spotted hanging out with Kumawood actor Kojo Nkansah Lilwin. In a video, posted on his Instagram page, Pope is seen with Kojo and other people having fun without giving a hoot about Shatta Wale and his movement.
He wrote, “Try And Hangout With @officiallilwin And Your Ribs Will Never Be The Same Again What A Character”.
