It was not that long ago that the enviable position currently being held by Michael Essien and Asamoah Gyan was held by Elikem the tailor and his estranged wife, Pokello.
Elikem had just filed for divorce in Zimbabwe, laying out his terms which Pokello was contesting.
The couple had split for over a year but despite our reporting and that of others they constantly denied being split till next thing we knew they were about to battle in court.
Since then the two have come out to try and correct any impression out there they feel gives the wrong idea about their divorce.
Pokello especially has become quite quick to send out messages about herself and to respond to people on social media talking about her.
Recently she posted a photo of herself, adding the caption: “If you hear someone talking bad about me, look them square in the eyes and say, ‘You should tell her’.”
Under that post one user commented the obvious, that perhaps she’s shading Elikem with the post — “Seems you and @elikemkumordzie are sending shades at each other.” the user requested.
But Pokello replied, saying she and Elikem have ‘moved on’.
“No need to do that at all. We have all moved on and everyone is happy. Not every caption is targeted at a particular person.” she responded.
Yh, we’ll believe that when we see it.
