54-year-old Assistant Headmaster at Kumasi High School (KUHIS) George Amponsah-Duodu, has been suspended by the Ghana Education Service for allegedly ‘chopping down’ male students of the school.
The Assistant Headmaster whose core responsibilities is to ensure general discipline on campus has been accused by some male students of the school for sodomising them.
According to reports, four male students, one of them being a former student leader have disclosed to the school authorities what their Assistant Headmaster did to them.
He has been ordered to step aside to fuel smooth investigations into the allegations. The suspension letter stated;
“Following allegations of sodomy against you by students of the Kumasi High School, you are hereby directed to step aside as the Assistant Headmaster (Administration) of the school to allow for smooth investigation into the case. Further instructions will be communicated to you after the investigations”.
