The issue of scammers and fraudsters in Ghana has been on the rise since the introduction of computers and the internet into the nation.
The Ghanaian Government has put all necessary measures in place to track down these scammers who are defrauding people to tarnish the good name of the nation for their selfish needs.
According to information reaching GhanaCelebrities.Com, a tip-off was given to Ghana Immigration Service that a group of gangs located at McCarthy Hills close to Mallam Junction interchange in Accra were making unnecessary noise to disturb the public peace.
According to the reports, upon arrival of the Ghana Immigration patrol team at the location, 7 Nigerians having 27 laptop computers with them were spotted, with 4 of them managing to escape the Immigration Officers.
However, the Immigration Officers decided to bring the remaining 3 to the Immigration Headquarters for further questioning and proper investigations.
On their way, Ghana Police Vehicle crossed them at gunpoint at the Sakaman Odorkor highway ordering the Immigration team to release the 3 three alleged criminals with the Police officers claiming that “they are their people”.
The Immigration Officers refused to hand over the suspects to the Police and drove off.
Again, to their surprise, another Police Vehicle with a siren crossed them, the Police then forced and opened the immigration officers car and took the Nigerians out of the car and took them away.
As we are reporting now, the whereabouts of the these Nigerians remains unknown.
