Former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor has unveiled Accra based Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel’s Christmas tree.
The event saw the likes of some prominent Ghanaian dignitaries such as Marcel Desaily, Dr Zanetor Rawlings, Evangelist Lawrence Tetteh, Former President Kufuor and many others in attendance.
According to the General Manager of the Hotel, Manish Nambiar, the tree was lighted based on the purposes of traditional togetherness among their clients, family, friends and guest.
He said, “As we partake in the festive cheer and magic of the season, may we remember to share warmth and happiness and be thankful for the year that has passed and the year to come. Afehyiapa. Our favourite time of the year where the hotel is in full swing with special events to make everyone merry.”
However, President Kufuor also used the opportunity to wish Ghanaians a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.
He said, “Let’s all be tolerant and patient and have fellow-feeling because we are all one people and the country is also a blessed one, therefore, let’s enjoy Christmas and look ahead with confidence.”
