It’s A Decision I Sometimes Regret — Cwesi Oteng On Endorsing Nana Akufo-Addo in 2016

In the run-up to every election, there are celebrities who come out and endorse politicians in the hope of trying to get them to win.

The number of them who did so in 2016 was uncountable and Cwesi Oteng is one of those. He threw his entire support behind Nana Addo and in the end, the NPP candidate won and became President of Ghana on 7th January, 2017.

Since then Cwesi Oteng has revealed that he has regretted supporting Nana Addo.

In a recent interview on ‘The Zone’ on Starr Fm, Cwesi Oteng said people sometimes blame him for the way things are going in the country under the NPP and that makes him feel remorseful about his support.

“It’s one of the decisions that I sometimes regret making because I realized people hate you for no reason. That’s the reason I regretted, not because I endorsed him. People frown for no reason. And I thought per my knowledge and understanding of the Ghanaian. So I felt that I had an independent human right to make a choice.” he told KOD.

He added: “I think Nana is rising. Of course we looking at the next two years and possibly his next term of four years, but otherwise, I think that by the end of his presidency then we can judge him.”
