A Nigerian man who dated and dumped a lady after all the marriage promises has been ordered by a court to pay a whopping amount of 5 million Naira ─equivalent Ghc67,000 over ‘breach of promise’ to marry her.
According to the Lawyer of the lady, the man after he was served with the court summon laughed it off ─thinking it was big a joke since it hasn’t happened in Nigeria before.
The lawyer of the lady advised men not to promise women marriage just because they want to have sex with them ─rather, tell the women their genuine intentions to date them.
He concluded that using marriage promise to have sex with a woman is against the law and any man caught up could pay millions if the case lands in court.
