The President of the Ghana Bar Association, Anthony Forson Jnr., has finally reacted to trending news that he has raped Ghanaian lawyer Kuukuwa Andam.
Kuukuwa detailed allegations of rape against several Ghanaian lawyers in a series of posts on her Facebook wall Monday, one of whom was the current GBA President, who she alleges raped her in a Washington DC hotel back in 2012.
According to Kuukuwa’s story, they agreed to meet at the time and she was prepared to have s*x, but when she got to the hotel room and there wasn’t a condom available, she wanted to get one but Forson didn’t allow her and forced himself upon her.
Forson, the most prominent name on the list of alleged rapists, has now responded to the allegation.
In a statement released through his lawyers ‘Beyuo & Co’, he ‘sincerely and emphatically’ denies raping Kuukuwa, calls the allegations ‘palpably false’ and said he believes he would be vindicated in due course.
Kuukuwa, as part of her allegations, also said she has lodged a complaint with DC police, but Forson didn’t respond to that in his statement.
