The long-awaited voice of Anas Aremeyaw Anas, the ace Investigative Journalist has finally been heard after his colleague, Ahmed Suale was gunned down by unknown assailants in the late hours of 16th January 2019.
Speaking in an interview on Deutsche Welle, Anas stated that there is a lot to be done for Africa as a continent which is full of corrupt leaders.
According to him, for some bad person to have succeeded in eliminating one of his colleagues just to scare him from doing his work, doesn’t mean he is giving up on his journey to reveal corrupt leaders of Africa.
“There is a lot to be done to make this country safe to make Africa better. Wherever he is, he is watching us and he will be very disappointed if we decide to give up. The way he was shot, it means you are not free, I am not free. No other journalist is free.”
He revealed plans to honour Ahmed. “In grand style, with a big and good enough story that will shake the foundations of nations. So if you take away one Anas, as has just happened you haven’t taken away the spirit of the people I encourage everybody to stay focused.” Anas said.
