Samini’s ‘Untamed’ Wins Reggaeville’s Album Of The Year Award – Becomes The First African Album/Artiste To Win It

Published by

As people normally say when a song is good it is good no matter the language the song is sung in. That description perfectly fits Reggae/Dancehall artiste Samini and his 2018 album ‘UNTAMED’.

Samini gained proper recognition in Ghana’s music industry in 2004 when he released his maiden album that contained his timeless smash hit song ‘Linda’. After that album, Samini has never looked back as he has sold Ghanaian music to the rest of the world and continues to do so.

He released his 7th Studio album in December of 2018 and it is arguably one of the best albums released in Ghana and across the African continent in 2018. His album after its release peaked on the Billboard World Reggae Chart Album; that’s how good the album is if you know what it takes before an album gets featured on Billboard.

Samini’s ‘UNTAMED’ album has chalked another feat yesterday as it has been voted as the Best Reggae Album of the year for the year 2018 at the 7th Reggaeville Year Book. He makes history as the first African and the first African album ever to have chalked this success.
