Yet another top talent has decided to take their services away from the Multimedia Group as top host and DJ Ohemaa Woyeje has decided to call it quits.
Woyeje has handed in her letter of resignation to her bosses at Adom Fm and her resignation is effective February 1st, 2019.
The host of the show ‘Work and Happiness’ has been off the air for some time now since returning from a vacation she took last year.
There were reports last year that she had been fired but Woyeje denied them at the time, although she’s now admitted she quitting her post.
According to her, upon her return from vacation, she thought she was getting her position as ‘Work and Happiness’ host back but instead, just one hour before she was scheduled to go on air her bosses told her to hand over the show to someone else.
She said the decision was announced abruptly to her without any prior discussion. She has since been off air because she said she was told to do other duties aside hosting which she believes are not in her contract.
She narrated what happened to Showbiz: “I took my vacation and returned in October. I resumed work and about an hour before I went on air, my boss sent me a Whatsapp message asking me to hand over the show to someone else, without any explanation.
“My contract of employment at Multimedia is as a presenter and per my job description, I’m to host, entertain and engage listeners with music and delivery but they breached the contract by assigning me new roles that have nothing to do with presenting such as field jobs and production work.
“My bosses took this decision alone, there was no prior notification or communication. I was not ready for these new roles so I have quit,” she said.
She added: “I really don’t want to hustle with anybody over a job and that’s why I have decided to go. I have responded to my fans on social media and they should keep monitoring my social media pages for my next step,”
Her resignation comes just a few months after that of other top talents from the company. Kofi Adoma Nwawani also decided to leave Multimedia over similar issues with management, whilst Joselyn Dumas also left citing a lack of time to fulfil her duties.
