Nigeria has narrowly escaped a tragedy today as a chopper carrying their Vice President crashed whilst on a campaign tour.

The chopper carrying Yemi Osinbajo crashed as he flew to Kabba in the country’s Kogi State for an event.

Luckily, no one sustained any serious injury in the crash and the Veep has even been able to book a different mode of transportation and continue his tour.

An aide to Osinbajo, Laolu Akande revealed news of the crash on social media with the following tweet: “VP Osinbajo’s Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe, he is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State.”
