Even being just a few days from the first anniversary Ebony’s death cannot seem to put a stop to the constant back and forth generated between her family and her record label since her passing.
Ebony’s father Starboy and her former manager Bullet remain at loggerheads and take every chance they get to take shots at the other.
In the wake of Ebony’s death and the controversy surrounding her unreleased songs, RuffTown released a statement pledging to give any unreleased songs of Ebony that were solely written by herself to her father.
Starboy has since received some of those songs and even released one over the Christmas period, but what wasn’t known was that he had to pay RuffTown to receive the songs.
Speaking on Adom Fm Monday, Starboy said he paid Bullet and some other sound engineers who had Ebony’s songs before they were released to him.
“They called me for the songs, I spoke with them, I paid them and I took it, it’s not for free anyway,” he said.
In a few days time the first anniversary of Ebony’s tragic passing would be upon us. The singer died February 8th, 2018 in a car accident whilst returning from Sunyani to Accra.
