According to the manager of the late Anokye Supremo, Isaac Kwabena Zachariah who accompanied him to India for his eye surgery, Sunday, February 10, 2019, is the deadline for the conveying of Anokye’s corpse to Ghana.
According to Indian laws, a foreigner who dies in the country has up to 10 days to be conveyed into his/her country and this has become a headache to the manager of Anokye Supremo.
If they aren’t able to raise $14,000 before Sunday, then Anokye Supremo’s corpse will remain in India. He disclosed that they’ve been able to raise $16,000 out of the $21,000 for his hospital bills and airlifting of his corpse to Ghana.
Anokye Supremo’s manager disclosed this during an interview with Christian Agyei Frimpong on Onua FM’s Entertainment show.
He concluded that failure to raise the money means Anokye Supremo’s body will remain in India hence appealing with Ghanaians to help the family raise the amount.
