Exactly one year ago today news broke out that Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, the sensational Ghanaian singer who had released so many hit songs, had passed away through a road accident.
Her accident brought back a lot of memories as to why road accidents still continue to wipe away a lot of Ghanaian talented artists; talk of Suzzy Williams, Terry Bonchaka, Kwame Owusu Ansah etc.
Every death is painful but Ebony’s was in a league of its own because it was just a week to her birthday and most importantly, she was the biggest musician in Ghana as at that time yet within a twinkle of an eye she was wiped away from the surface of the earth.
It’s a year ago already and tributes are coming in from all angles. Her father Nana Opoku Kwarteng’s hearty and touchy tribute has just come in. He says today is a very difficult day for him and that if he had the power 8th February will be deleted from the book of time.
