In the midst of a rapidly depreciating currency, a graduate unemployment crisis, high cost of living and a healthcare crisis, the President Ghanaians voted into power by Ghanaians to escape the incompetence of the previous administration has decided that pouring all his energy into the construction of a National Cathedral is the right thing for him to do.
The very disappointing Nana Akufo-Addo has neglected the 1,001 issues he was elected to fix and has instead decided to offer a solution to a non-existent problem by building a Cathedral.
Actress Lydia Forson has expressed disappointment in the President for his decision to fight so hard for the Cathedral when there are more pressing life and death issues requiring a solution.
In a post on twitter on Wednesday, Forson said she can’t get over the fact that the Cathedral has become priority number one for the government.
The actress wrote: “I can’t get over the fact that we’re building a CATHEDRAL, even if sponsored ( allegedly) there are people who’d rather invest money in a place of worship that people can live WITHOUT than hospital beds and healthcare that people NEED to live…If this doesn’t make you sad…”
Indeed. It’s a tragedy what our politicians consider important and unimportant. Living in Ghana should make anyone sad beyond measure.
I can’t get over the fact that we’re building a CATHEDRAL, even if sponsored ( allegedly) there are people who’d rather invest money in a place of worship that people can live WITHOUT than hospital beds and healthcare that people NEED to live.
If this doesn’t make you sad…
