Ghana is a sh*thole country, many African countries are in the same pot with us— no matter how much you would love to defend this stance, it would not change this narrative. We are no better than Nigeria but a country that postpones its general polls a night before the slated date, no one needs to tell you it is one hell of a scary country.

Afrobeat singer Simi in a series of Tweets has touched on how scary it is to live in Nigeria. The Joromi singer says she cannot fathom how thirsty people are of power when they do not even work in a deserving way. “Nigeria is a fucking scary place to be. The worst part is a lot of crazy stuff happens because they KNOW there will be no consequences. It’s not rocket science. But how do we get from where we are to where we need to be?? + it’s not just the government, it’s us too.”
