Black Panther continues to make history as it garnered more new awards at the 91st Academy Awards held Sunday night in Los Angeles.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe picture, which tells the story of a power struggle in the fictional African kingdom of Wakanda, received seven nominations and ended up winning three of them, becoming the first Marvel movie to win an Academy award.
The 2019 ceremony was the first without a host due to the controversy surrounding Kevin Hart, who was tapped to host but then withdrew due to a controversy over some past comments.
