‘Catherine Afeku’s Removal Is A Political Game’ – Ola Michael

Madam Catherine Ablema Afeku‘s ejection from her office as the Minister of Tourism, Creatives Arts and Culture, and being replaced by Barbara Oteng-Gyasi has sparked controversies in Ghana.

Some of the media personalities were not happy after the news about her removal was announced. Most of them have expressed disappointment in the NPP government for including Madam Catherine to those Ministers who got kicked out from their ministerial appointments.

Entertainment pundit, Ola Michael has also reacted to her removal. According to him, he warned Madam Catherine a few months ago to work harder if not she may be affected by the reshuffling.

“I am not happy Catherine Afeku was ejected from the Tourism, Creative Arts & Culture office. It is a political gimmick. It is only for the government to ask for another term. I wasn’t surprised that Catherine Afeku was part of the reshuffling. I even told her somewhere last year that if she doesn’t work harder, she may be affected by the coming reshuffling.

He said this when he was called on the phone to discuss the topic “Catherine Afeku out. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi is now Minister-designate for Tourism, Creatives Arts and Culture.” on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz Show.
