I’m at the Level Where Awards Do Not Matter Anymore — E.L on VGMA 2019 Snub

Three years ago, rapper Elorm Adabla shocked the entire country when he won the artist of the year at the 2016 VGMAs, beating the overwhelming favourite for that year, Bisa Kdei, to the big award.

Three years down the line, E.L has not been able to replicate his success that year and has revealed he’s not interested in awards anymore.

In a recent interview on Radio Central, the ‘Lalafalama’ rapper said he’s at a place in his career where winning awards is not that important to him.

According to him, he’s past that level now and is concentrated on more important things in his career.

“VGMA is an award but there are important things than an award. When you get to the [level] I am now you will realize there are more important things.

“When you win an award it’s a plus, people will see you and recognize you for winning. But there are [more] important things, that’s why I’m not focusing on VGMA again.” he said.
