Efia Odo has revealed the moment her mum flew into a panic due to her asking some questions about the Bible on social media which led people to think she doesn’t believe in God.
In recent days, Efia seems to have grown a conscious brain and attacked some aspects of Christianity that she doesn’t like. In a series of posts on twitter, Efia posted about or retweeted other users who are attacking the motives of the white colonialists who brought us religion as a method of control.
Those questions triggered attacks on her for being an atheist on social media, and it seems those questions managed to find their way to her mum.
That’s because her mum apparently phoned her to ask if she’s an atheist, and Odo said she responded with a fat no.
According to her, she believes in God, and asking questions about the bible does not mean she’s an atheist.
Even as an atheist myself, that makes perfect sense, just as criticizing the performance of the NPP government does not make one an NDC supporter.
This is a simple lesson Ghanaians must learn about how the world works.
I’m just trying to get out of this alluded system. Before religion was brought to North Africans and transcended to us west Africans, we had our own way of life and connecting to God. Before colonization we were spiritual people. We’ve lost our sense of spirituality.
