The drowning Ghanaian movie industry would soon have a new entrant to try and breath some life into it and it’s someone most Ghanaians are quite familiar with, Reggae/Dancehall legend Samini.

Born Emmanuel Andrews Samini, the singer/songwriter has revealed plans to venture into a new line of work by becoming a scriptwriter and movie producer.

Samini made his plans known during an interview with Becky on Joy Prime’s ‘E With Becks’. He was speaking after recently spending some time on set with Majid Michel and Yvonne Nelson.

Becks asked him if that meant he’s interested in acting but Samini said acting is too tedious for him.

According to him, what he is interested in doing is writing movie scripts and also, becoming a movie director in the near future.
