Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale cannot wait to grab the biggest accolade of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, “Artiste of the Year” ─looking at how he is busily campaigning and pleading with his fans to vote massively for him.
Aside from his active social media campaigns, Shatta Wale on the stage of the VGMA 2019 Nominees Jam held in Kumasi yesterday, April 6, 2019, as monitored by AttractiveMustapha pleaded with his Kumasi fans not to just enjoy his performance but should also actively engage in the voting process.
According to the “Gringo” hitmaker, he wants to win the “Artiste of the Year” accolade at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards because it’s been long overdue.
“As you dey clap and enjoy yourself make no mistake; I want to win artiste of the year so that we celebrate. It has been long since I won that category. If I win I will be very happy”, Shatta Wale pleaded.

Shatta Wale who bagged 8 awards at the just ended 3Music Awards is battling for VGMA’s “Artiste of the Year” award with Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Kuami Eugene, King Promise and gospel artiste, Joe Mettle.
Shatta Wale has also been nominated among 9 other artistes in the category, “Artiste of the Decade”.
