Whiles some Ghanaians are finding every possible ways and means to add their names to the list of celebrities we have in this nation, the Tema-based singer, Yaa Pono aka Ponobiom says he is not a celebrity but a street boy.
Well, I really don’t blame him that much for making such statements because some of the people we have in this nation as our celebrities are nothing but a disgrace to the celebrity tag.
According to Ponobiom, “Most of my fans in Kumasi didn’t know we could reach this far because we started life from the scratch,” Yaa Pono said.

“Apart from a musician being a celebrity, we are town boys. We are street boys so you must see me not as a celebrity but the people’s person who’s back and to rebase with the people”. He said this on a Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.
